Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the ACTH(4-7) sequence with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro extension. It is commonly represented as Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro (MEHFPGP) and has been studied in neuroprotection, neurotrophin signalling, cerebral-ischemia models and cognitive/neuropharmacology research.
